Kwamki Narama Residents Enthusiasm In Welcoming Ghe 79TH TNI Anniversary Social Services LED By Commanding General Of Kogabwilhan III

MIMIKA - The 79th Anniversary Commemoration of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) in 2024 has the theme “Modern TNI Together with the People Ready to Guard the Succession of National Leadership for Advanced Indonesia, ” was conveyed directly by the Commanding General of the Regional Defense Joint Command III (Kogabwilhan III), Lieutenant General Bambang Trisnohadi, in his remarks at the start of the 79th TNI Anniversary Social Services (Baksos) event in Damai Village, Kwamki Narama District, Mimika Regency, Papua Tengah Province. The momentum of this Social Services event was implemented in the form of health services, free lunch, and distribution of basic necessities packages by the HABEMA Operations Command (Koops) Soldiers to residents on Tuesday morning, 1 October 2024, in the Head of Damai Village office.

Since morning, residents of Damai Village have flocked to the location of the Baksos event, which was held for the first time by the TNI in the Kwamki Narama District. More than 200 people participated in enlivening the Baksos TNI event. The safe and conducive situation supported the excitement of the residents who attended the event. At 09.00 local time, the event began with prayer and speeches, including by the Head of Damai Village, Mr. Lutter Wonda, and a speech by the Commanding General of Kogabwilhan III. Furthermore, the Commanding General of Kogabwilhan III, LtGen Bambang Trisnohadi, and the Commanding General of Koops HABEMA, BrigGen Lucky Avianto, handed over musical instruments and sports equipment to the residents of Kampung Damai, who were represented by the Head of Kampung Damai.

In his remarks, Mr. Lutter Wonda expressed his appreciation by saying, “My deepest gratitude to the TNI for caring for us, the residents of Damai Village, through the implementation of Social Services. God always protects and blesses the TNI.” Residents who had the opportunity to participate in the event also expressed gratitude. One of them, Mama Ria Waker, said, “Praise God, I received some aid packages today. I feel healthier after being examined and given medicine by the TNI Doctor. God bless.”

The Social Services event in Damai Village, Kwamki Narama District, to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the TNI, according to the Commanding General of Kogabwilhan III, LtGen Bambang Trisnohadi, is also an implementation of the TNI tasks following the Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2020 concerning the Acceleration of Welfare Development in the Papua region, especially providing essential service support to the local community. The TNI Social Services event held in Damai Village took place safely and in a joyful and peaceful atmosphere, which illustrates the implementation of the TNI's tasks in providing security support in the Papua region.
