    TNI Task Force Immanuel Movement Initiative Brings Positive Impact In Mbua

    NDUGA - The Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 432/Waspada Setia Jaya Kostrad, one of the military units under The Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently conducting the mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Monday, 22 July 2024.

    The 432 Task Forces, especially the Mbuwa Post led by First Lieutenant Fahrizal, and Mbuwa District Community Figures held a Monthly Meeting of the Mbuwa District Zion Congregation Church.

    In his emphasis on the TNI Soldiers, the Commander of 432 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Zulfikar Akbar Helmi, conveyed the importance of the Task Forces' attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. For this reason, the Mbuwa Post has conducted observations of the area’s condition around the Post to obtain actual data related to all activities carried out during the task. Based on the observations, the Post Leader conducted Social Communication (Komsos) with one of the Mbuwa District Community Figures, namely Pastor Johanes.

    As a result of the Social Commission, it was agreed that there would be a Mbua District Immanuel Movement program which would involve the active role of all residents in the Mbuwa District to support the Republic of Indonesia Government Programs to accelerate development in the Papua region. The word "Immanuel" comes from Hebrew and it means "God with us". Through the joint idea of Pastor Johanes and First Lieutenant Fahrizal, the Immanuel Movement continues to be actively conducted in regional security activities, as well as territorial activities such as Health Services, Social Services, Social Communication, House Renovation, Teaching and Learning, Rosita and other activities intended to help the Mbuwa community's difficulties. After some time, the Immanuel Movement was carried out, there were several changes and positive impacts on the lives of the Mbuwa people.

    As a media for evaluating the Immanuel Movement Program which has been implemented so far, on Monday (22/7) a Monthly Meeting of the Mbuwa District Zion Congregation Church was held. By inviting several community figures and Soldiers from the Mbuwa Post, the meeting resulted in the decision that Immanuel Movement activities must continue to be conducted by accommodating security interests and various areas of life that can support the Indonesian Government's programs in the Mbuwa District. After the meeting finished, Pastor Johanes expressed his gratitude by saying "Thank you, Commander 432, for securing Mbuwa. We are happy that TNI is helping the Papuan people. God bless TNI."

    "The initiative of the 432 Task Forces invited the Mbuwa residents to play an active role in securing and developing the District, is an effort by the TNI to conduct inclusive Social Communication with all stakeholders, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region, " said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
